Now imagine giving your feet exactly what they were intended for: Contact with the Earth 🌍️ 

When was the last time you touched the earths surface (dirt, sand or gras) with your bare feet? And how did it feel?

Grounding vs. Earthing

Grounding, or earthing, is the process of connecting to the earth's electrical energy. It’s a healing technique that focuses on recalibrating your body’s electrical energy by connecting with the earth.

How does it work? Physically interacting with the earth allows you to discharge your body's extra energy (positive charge), potentially leading to a healing effect.

Ground yourself to the earth's surface by walking barefoot outside, lying on the grass, swimming, running your fingers into the earth, or using an electrical device.

Grounding for Beginners

Are you unfamiliar with grounding and unsure of where to begin? Here are my six beginner-friendly grounding steps:

  1. 🌲 Find an outdoor grounding spot.

  2. 👣 Remove your shoes and socks.

  3. 🧘 Position yourself comfortably (standing, sitting, or lying down) and contact the earth with your skin (hands or feet).

  4. 🧠 Visualize the connection between your body and the ground.

  5. 😤 Combine grounding with deep breathing.

  6. 💚 Enjoy it!

My tip: Whenever possible, practice grounding 👣.

Whether it's before an outdoor walk or after a 6k Zone 1 recovery run with some mobility and strength training.
