The Human Front Door

We use it to eat, talk, laugh, and occasionally steal a kiss. 💋

Our mouth is the gateway to our body, constantly welcoming an interesting mix of guests - food, drinks, toothpaste, and billions of bacteria. 🦠

If you take care of it, it’ll serve you well.

However, ignore it, and… well, let’s just say it will be a painful and expensive visit to the dentist’s chair. 💺

So, how do we keep our mouths fresh and healthy?

Let’s sink our teeth into it. 🦷

Main 🥙

Oral Health

The state of the mouth, teeth, and orofacial structures, known as oral health, plays a significant role in our everyday lives, from early childhood to old age.

It allows us to accomplish daily essential tasks such as breathing, eating, and interacting with one another. 🗨️

Unfortunately, the increased consumption of alcohol, tobacco, and sugary diets in the recent decades has led to a global raised risk of oral disease, adversely affecting our well-being, self-confidence, social interaction, and overall health.

According to the Global Burden of Disease Study 2017, approximately 3.5 billion people suffer from oral disorders, with the number likely to keep increasing…

These disorders encompass a variety of conditions, including tooth cavities, gum disease (gingivitis), cracked teeth, tooth loss, sensitive teeth, low confidence, and oral cancer.

But the good news is that we can enhance our oral health in just a few minutes a day. 😉

By doing this, you will profit from

  • healthier teeth and gums 🦷

  • a beautiful smile

  • fresher breath 🌺

  • a reduced risk of oral disease

  • and more self-confidence 😎

But how exactly do you improve oral health?

How to Boost Oral Health

You want to upgrade your oral health but aren’t sure where to start?

Here are the non-negotiables that will keep your mouth fresh, get you that Oral-B commercial smile, and take your confidence to the next level:

  • 🪥 Brush your teeth twice to three times a day

  • 🦷 Floss your teeth daily

  • 🫧 Avoid mouthwash containing alcohol (they kill the good bacteria in the mouth)

  • 👅 Scrape your tongue at least once a day (to avoid bad breath)

  • 💆 Massage your gum for one minute a day (to improve the lymph nodes)

  • 🚰 Drink water after every meal and drink (to hydrate and flush away particles)

  • 🍭 Limit your sugar and alcohol intake

  • 🤐 Tape your mouth overnight (to prevent dehydration and keep the pH state in balance)

  • 🥗 Eat healthy, unprocessed foods

  • 💧 Use a water flosser (to feel a little fancy)

  • 🚭️ Stop smoking

  • 🦠 Consume pre- and probiotics

  • 🥼 Visit the dentist every 6 months (schedule ahead)

Bonus tip: Make oral care a priority. Take your time and integrate it into your daily morning and wind-down routine.
